Naming Ceremonies
The tradition of Naming a child dates back many centuries and is fast becoming a Welcoming Ritual in Australian Society. The ceremony includes the official Naming and Welcoming of the child into the family and wider community. A celebrant’s guidance in providing the most suitable ceremony, depending on age and gender, offering a wide range of symbolic rituals – such as Readings, Lighting of Naming Candle, Planting a Tree, and other components can be incorporated which ultimately contribute to a Ceremony celebrating the Birth and joyful acceptance of the child as an important family member. Whatever their age may be, such a ceremony can act as a significant “Welcome”. Naming Ceremonies may also successfully blend step-children into a stable family unit.
A Certificate detailing the Naming, together with certificates for Godparents/Guardians and other members, are usually presented at the end of the ceremony to mark the importance of the milestone in the child’s life.

Funerals
Remember your Celebrant is a Professional and is the best person to consult when a loved one leaves this world. Your Celebrant can provide the most fitting Tribute to honor the life of a loved one. It is imperative that the Funeral Service is totally appropriate to the needs and cultural beliefs of the clients. A fitting Ceremony should include Readings, Eulogy, Speeches, Music, Committal or Burial and other symbolic rituals which should be discussed at length. All aspects should be carefully considered to ensure the ceremony reflects the feelings of all those left behind. Your Celebrant works to uphold the professional standards of the Federation and Association of Civil Celebrants in Australia. Sensitivity and a willingness to patiently listen and carefully compose a ceremony is of vital importance. The Ceremony itself should be a celebration of the Life of the Loved One.
